The old astra h with climate control also had a button that looked like a heated front screen button but it was just a demister. My old h with ECC would take for ever for the front screen to clear even with the outside scraped. All my fords before and after owning the astra h's would melt the ice and be clear within 2 mins.

A bad fuse would stop all the windows working I'd have thought. If the door card has been off for any reason then there's a chance that the wire isn't connected or perhaps the wire has broken between the door and the body. Faulty switch if you have a voltage meter with a circuit tester on it that makes a buzz then you can test the switch and
